I Love Flowers!

Well I guess that you can tell that I love flowers and colours! This is the time of year I love. When all of the gardens are in bloom and there's a riot of colour everywhere.

Tonight's kit is Delightful Daisies, just a fun kit for those summer pictures. This kit includes some filmstrips, frames, ribbons, bows, papers and of course Daisies.

Here's a preview of the kit:

It's All About Colour!

Tonight's kit was fun for me to make. It started with a picture of my adorable (my, my I sound like a grandmother!) grandddaughter. The joy of designing your own kits is that you can always have a match for your photos, but it also creates a problem because I feel like I have to create a kit for each photo! At this rate it will take me years to scrap my pictures, and I do love to take pictures.
Here's my layout using the Sweetheart Kit.

I just love this mix of colours. The kit includes 9 papers, 5 ribbons, 5 butterfly bows, 5 picture mats, 5 buttons, 4 lace trims and a border. Here's a preview of everything included in the Sweetheart Kit.

Where did July Go?

I can't believe that we are already at the end of July. How is it that every week in the summer just flies by, but every day in the winter feels like a week? At least there's no snow! Thank you to all of you that have left such nice comments. They really are appreciated. I do love to create and play with colours but it is nice to know that there's actually someone out there looking.
Tonight I have a layout of my oldest grandson Reed, done with the Melon Kit. He was having some fun and just playing around out in the yard.

I would love to see what everyone does with the kits so if you have your pages posted online please send me a link so I can see them, or if you wish you can resize your layout to 600 by 600 at 100 dpi, e-mail it to me, and once a week I'll add them to the slideshow. I made a quick page from the layout for you. Here's a preview:

Thank Goodness for Weekends!

This week was a really busy one and I'm so glad that the weekend is finally here. We've had another rainy day....it's been raining every day for the last couple of weeks. The news today says it's the wettest summer in history. We're all starting to feel as though we should have webbed feet! It's been a good season for the gardens though and I've never seen the grass so green at this time of year. So, there's always something good to offset the bad.

Tonight's kit, Melon, was inspired after grocery shopping this week. I purchased a couple of very large melons and while I was cutting them up the colours just inspired me. These colours just look like summer together. Here's a preview of the kit. I hope you enjoy it.

Keeping My Promise

As promised I finished up the Olivia kit and I have it all packaged up for you tonight. Wouldn't you know it, I got the most adorable photo of my granddaughter last night, so I've already started another kit....LOL. I think that I'd better do something soon for my boys or else they're going to start to feel left out. My grandson Reed's birthday is tomorrow, he's turning 9, and we have a digital camera for him....shhh...it's a secret. He loves to follow me around and take photos with a children's digital camera he got a few years ago, so I know that he will love having a real camera to use. I'm hoping to be able to scrap a couple of the photos he takes when he and his brother Jack come to stay with us for a week. It will be interesting to see through the camera from a childs perspective.

Cra-Z-Cat sent another layout today. This one is using the Penny Candy Kit and it's adorable. You can see it in the slideshow. Her granddaughter Rebecca just got a new bathing suit and the colours in this kit were just right for it. Thanks Cra-Z-cat.

Here's a preview of the Olivia kit. I hope you have fun with it.

And Now For Something Completely Different!

Tonight I think I'll do things a little backwards. I had a picture of my granddaughter that I wanted to scrap, but no kit that seemed just right, so of course I had to create some elements to go with the photo. After six grandsons, having a little girl to scrap is quite a change and I'm having fun doing some girlie things. Here's the LO I made.

But then, I decided that I had made enough to make a kit out of this as well, so I'll finish it up and post it tomorrow . I'm doing things a little differently tonight and I'm going to give you the Quick Page before the kit. I'd better be careful or I'll find myself making kits to match all her outfits! This kit is named after my granddaughter. Make sure to visit tomorrow if you would like to get the Olivia kit. Here's a preview of the quick page.

Sorbet QP

Well today was a busy one!! First off to work and then lots of running around to do afterwards. I usually plan all of my errands on Mondays, as it's usually my day off, so when I have to work it really throws me off schedule. Tonight I have a layout using the Sorbet kit. This is my grandson Christian, looking so sweet while he sleeps. It's hard to believe he's such a bundle of energy when he's awake looking like that.

I've made a Quick Page for you with this layout. Here's a preview:

Another Weekend Come & Gone

I received a layout made with the Summer Breeze kit from Cra-Z-cat and decided that I would put a slideshow on the blog of layouts made using the kits. You'll notice that most of my layouts are of my grandchildren. Children make such wonderful subjects for scrap pages! If you would like to send me a layout you've made please resize it to 600 by 600 at 100 dpi and email me. You can find my email link in the About Me on the side of the blog. Once a week I'll try to update the slideshow. I would love to see what everyone does with the kits. Cra-Z-cat I just love what you did. The colours are perfect! Thanks for sending it to me.

Tonight's kit was inspired by a very large flat of strawberries that my husband brought home! I just love this time of the year and wish that we could have fresh strawberries all year long. Sorbet includes 8 papers, 4 brads, 1 frame, 5 journaling tags, 2 strings of pearls, 6 flowers, 4 ribbons and 4 bows. I hope you have fun with it. Here's a preview of the kit:

Add-ons Tonight!

I couldn't stop playing with the Satin and Lace kit so tonight I have a few small additions to the kit. Sometimes I make so many things to go with a kit that I just can't make up my mind what to give with it. I hope that those of you who downloaded the kit can make use of them.

There are some butterflies, flowers and some gems. Here's a preview:

Summer's Going Too Quickly!

It's the beginning of another week and already the middle of July and I feel as though the summer is just flying by. Seems we spend most of our year waiting for it and then...poof...it's gone before you know it. I'm going to have to make a point of enjoying each and every day, even though it rained today! LOL

Thanks for the lovely comments that everyone left. It's so nice to hear from so many familiar names. I'm enjoying creating the kits and as long as you don't mind me only having something to give out every couple of days I think that I'll be able to stay on top of this.

Tonight I have a new kit, Satin and Lace for you. This kit includes 10 papers, 5 satin ribbons and bows, 5 lace trims, a beaded trim, a gold trim, a gold frame and 5 transparent brads. Here's a preview of the kit.

Thank Goodness It's Friday!

Finally the end of another week! The first week back after vacation always seems so long. Tonight's kit is back to the more earthy tones and includes 5 tied ribbons, 8 sunflowers, 5 brads, 3 frames and 5 papers. I hope you enjoy it. Feel free to leave a comment on the blog if you wish. It's nice to know that someone is actually looking at it. Here's a preview of my new Sienna kit.

Bright and Cheery

It feels like summer has finally arrived. We've had lots of hot sunny days without rain for the last week. Today we're supposed to get some showers but the gardens and the lawn really need it now! It didn't seem like summer was ever going to arrive this year, so I'm enjoying each and every day.

With my vacation over, I felt like making something bright and cheery to keep that holiday feeling going, so tonight I have a nice bright kit for you. For some reason the colours in the Penny Candy kit made me think of those long, hot days of summer when I was a kid (and that was a very long time ago! LOL). I'm not even sure you can still get penny candy any more. Maybe it was spending the holiday with all of my grandchildren that made me think of these colours. This kit includes a scalloped border, 6 frames, 6 buttons, 6 flowers, 2 bead strings and 12 papers.

It's Back to the Grind!

Have you ever noticed that vacations are never long enough? It was so nice to get away for a few days and relax. Too bad that my week of vacation is already over. We were very lucky to have great weather and just sat and enjoyed the view from the dock.

Tonight I have a quick page for you from the Summer Breeze kit. This is my grandson Liam playing at the park and the colours in this kit were just right for the picture.

Vacation Time!

We've decided to take the rest of my week of vacation and get away for a few days. I won't be able to blog again until the weekend so I've decided to give out another kit and post again today. So much for every couple of days. I know I just got started and already I'm taking a vacation! The Summer Breeze kit has vibrant and bold colours to make us all think of nice summer weather!

The Summer Breeze kit includes papers, frames, buttons, brads, ribbons, sachets and some stringed beads. Have fun with all those photos of your summer activities. Here's a preview of the kit.

Happy Canada Day!

Happy Canada Day everyone. Thank you to everyone who has visited and to those who left such lovely comments. I wasn't really sure that anyone would actually come to the blog, but as long as you're visiting and downloading I'll continue to post every couple of days.
I have a quick page to share with you today. This cute little hummingbird was visiting our feeder the other day and I was lucky enough to get his picture before he took off.
