Leaves, leaves and more leaves!!

We had a very busy weekend. The weather was lovely and we were finally able to get ouside and get some much need work done around here before the snow arrives. I think the leaves from every tree for miles around were on our lawn. My daughter and her husband and their four boys were here so it was really lively! The boys had fun playing in the leaves while I tried to blow them all off the lawn.

Rushing Around Getting Nowhere

I always seem to be rushing around these days. Just when I think that I have time to sit down at the computer, I remember something else I should be doing! I hope things slow down a little or I won't have time to make anything to give you. The holiday on Monday threw my week off and I'm scrambling to do some catch up. I just have to remember all of those long winter nights ahead that I'll have to play with Photoshop.

It Was A Wonderful Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend visiting with all of the grandchildren. The weather was perfect and unusually warm and sunny. It sure is busy with all of the little ones around. By the time I got back home I thought perhaps there was something wrong with my hearing! Living out in the country is so quiet and spending the weekend in the city with all the kids is so noisy. But I love to see them all and our turkey dinner was just perfect.

It's Turkey Time!

It seems that Indian Summer is upon us. The skies have cleared and we are supposed to have beautiful warm and sunny weather all weekend long. It's Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada so that is a real treat. I'm going away to visit the kids for Thanksgiving and won't be back to post again until next Tuesday. My daughter is cooking the turkey this year and I'm sure that dinner will be a noisy one, with seven children under 9 and seven adults. In Canada, Thanksgiving is always the second Monday in October. With all of the beautiful colours on the trees the drive to visit the grandchildren should be really beautiful. Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Canadian readers and friends.

It's Tuesday and my night out with the girls. We had a great time but I don't have time for a long post tonight. I was going to make a Halloween kit, but decided against it once I got started. Time Just Marches On

Why is it that weekends fly by so quickly? There just never seems to be enough time to get everything done. We have lots of yardwork to do still before the dreaded "white stuff" starts to fall this winter. Instead of working outside this weekend we decided to go for a long drive and admire the fall colours. It turns out that lots of people had the same idea, because wherever we stopped to take some pictures there were others with their trusty cameras, doing exactly the same thing!

Post Number 50 Already!

I can't believe that this is my 50th post already. I wasn't even sure that anyone would visit the blog when I started at the end of June, and here we are 50 posts later!! Thank you all for visiting and leaving such nice comments. You're the reason I continue.

The fall colours have just about peaked for the season here and everything is quite beautiful. I think that this weekend will be the last for viewing them at their best and the leaves will fall very quickly now. I stopped and took a picture this morning on my way to work to share with you. I know that some of you never get to see the trees change colour in the fall and it's a shame that you miss it as it really is nature at her best.

There are two new pictures in the slideshow tonight. Louisiana Lady was kind enough to share a photo of her son and grandson playing in the leaves. Doesn't it look like they're having fun? Your Fall Fun page is just perfect for this photo. Stacye also sent a layout and used the Bluebird kit. Thanks so much for sharing your reunion photos with us. If you would like to share a layout you've made with one of my kits, please resize it to 600 by 600 at 100 dpi and email it to me. I know that I love to see what you've all created with the kits and I'm sure that the others like to get ideas for their own layouts as well.

Tonight I have a new kit for you. Teddy Bear Picnic includes 10 papers, ribbons, frames, little bear buttons (aren't they cute?), a fence, flowers, picnic basket, two teddy bears and of course what picnic would be complete without ants?
